Flask

This glass vessel with a round or flat bottom, usually with a long narrow neck. A variety of technical vessels used in chemical laboratories.

The flasks are distinguished:

    
shape: round-, flat-bottomed, conical;
    
on the throat type: thin section tapered, cylindrical thin sections, with a simple neck by a rubber stopper;
    
containers for from 5 ml to 50 000 ml (50 liters);
    
by type of material: glass, quartz, metal;
    
on the thermal stability of the glass: heat-resistant, heat sensitive;
    
Intended: volumetric flasks, reactors bulb, the bulb-receivers

 
The flasks used in the laboratory as reaction vessels. They are also used for filtration, evaporation, distillation and synthesis in vitro

For warming flasks in laboratories and chemical plants use specialized and versatile heating mantles
